Travelling is like flirting with life. It’s like saying, ‘I would stay and love you, but I have to go; this is my station. – Lisa St. Aubin de Teran
Pardon the cliché, but this quote obsessively runs through my brain as I hop around the world. Blogging was never my first love, it still probably is not. However, penning down my raw, unedited thoughts of my experiences seeing the world, so differently than I read in books, watched in movies or tales I heard from my grand parents growing up comes effortlessly to me.
Most people dream of exploring the world at least once in their lifetime, lucky me – Travel was always in my DNA (My full of life Sagittarius mother with an overly ambitious streak who believes that adventures fill your soul, the pioneer of my passion).
As my amazing luck has it, I have repeated each destination almost twice if not more. TravelnLiving was never in the space of a regular “travel agency” selling air tickets & hotels. It was more about sharing ideas, stories & experiences of our travels with our trusted high net worth clientele whose favorite question to us is, “Where is TravelnLiving sending us to next?”. We believe that a holiday should be more than a hotel room, a flight and a rental car, It should be more than the sum of its parts. We also believe a trip can stir the very core of existence, a challenge can help you grow. We create journeys worth taking – for the traveler, for the host and for the world.
Credibility and brand value built with the endless exposure and participation in the travel industry – our presence was felt far & wide through invites & attendance as hosted buyer at ILTM Cannes & Japan, Pure, Emotions in Barcelona, WTM in London, Indaba in South Africa, We are Africa in Africa. As a brand TravelnLiving has several laurels so to speak, but one such country that is more than a business & truly an attachment – Iceland (You can find my experiences from this most favorite place on earth from 2014 & 2016, here). We pioneered the Iceland awareness out of India having sent over 200 pax in a year and have been since then inducted in the board of Indo Iceland business association where no other travel entrepreneur and agent from India are members.
Yet somehow craving something different than being an entrepreneur running her own luxury travel company (As my mother does under the same brand name), I was inclined to explore the digital space and utilize the existing resources to create a parallel world of luxury travel. My travels across the globe always involved me donning my best attire & having my fingers glued to my multiple cameras (its still an obsession) – I was happiest on either side of the camera truly soaking in every minute of being oceans away from home, inspired by the blogger community although small in number then, Collaborating with the same luxury travel brands, promoting tourism boards & destinations through an online portal and representing the best there is to offer in the space of travel. The ideation was simple to implement given the digital storm & acceptance of running a business on social platforms.
Fast forward two years and I now have the best job in the world, circling the globe as a travel photographer and blogger (I regularly need to pinch myself)! To date, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to over 50 countries and I’m not going to let this number stop growing.
My Blog & Instagram profile are an extension of me. It is like a visual resume. I have always been a dreamer, believer of all things magical, the power of the universe & fairy dust of course, ever since I can remember. So creating and sharing those dreams in far far away lands that have turned to reality is what got me here – journey to become a full-time travel blogger/consultant/agent. I’m constantly trying to give my readers a virtual experience of the world through it since I am addicted to the online space, documenting my experiences and bringing the world to you virtually.
While my blog covers the basic destinations for first time travelers, the hidden treasures of my blog are really the unique destinations I have explored. By sharing these bucket-list experiences, destination guides, endless adventures, the simple goal is to inspire everyone to go out and explore this beautiful world we live in. I believe inspiration is everywhere & somehow I hope to have inspired you to live a life you love & continue to find your passion relentlessly and settle for nothing less than extraordinary. Your desire for the adventure of a lifetime keeps the dream alive & your adventure awaits… So let’s go find it!
